CFO Awards 2017 line-up wows

post-title

“For me as a proud CFO it is a very touching experience being nominated and I feel quite privileged. To be acknowledged for one’s work is not an often-done thing in the world today. One works very hard but to get acknowledged is not easy,” says Rajesh Mahabeer (pictured), CFO of SANParks, one of the 25 nominees for this year’s CFO Awards.

The annual 'Oscars for South African CFOs', which will be held this year on 11 May at Summer Place, recognise CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions, awarding them for outstanding performance and leadership. We are one week into the judging process for the awards, with several nominees already having had their say on a range of questions pertaining to strategy execution, transformation, high performance teams and compliance.

Rajesh added:

"For me it's also a point of reflection that at least my work did not go unnoticed. Being nominated by CFO South Africa in particular is a very credible thing and really a serious privilege to be considered. My work as a CFO is extremely well known out there but I think that through this process it becomes even more known and, if nothing else, if it proves to be a source of inspiration to other CFOs and aspirant CFOs then I think I would be quite satisfied with that."
