The evening draws a host of headline sponsors and 450 to 500 paying guests. CFO South Africa will host a table of influential South African CFOs, who have been involved in landmark M&A deals in the last few years.
CFO South Africa is the leading community for finance and accounting professionals in the country. Managing director Graham Fehrsen says he is extremely pleased that the organisation is involbed in the prestigious DealMakers Annual Awards Dinner as the sponsors of the Reporting Accountants category.
"CFOs across our community have been involved in some of the biggest transactions of the last 18 months and the role of the reporting accountants in successful M&A transactions is crucial," says Graham. "The role of accountants is becoming increasingly challenging, given the speed of change of global accounting standards and cross-border complexity of Africa-focussed deals."
This prestigious event, now in its 15th year, celebrates the achievements in the mergers & acquisition industry. The guests attending the function are all high net worth individuals, comprising investment bankers, corporate financiers, lawyers and auditors. These individuals view the evening as their own Academy Awards. "It is the one evening of the year which celebrates their achievements and recognises the hard work done," says DealMakers director Marylou Greig. "Many use the evening as a networking opportunity which, as a result, attracts industry suppliers to the event."
