Cliff Baty new Man United CFO

Manchester United, one of the world's most popular and successful sports teams, recently announced that it has appointed Cliff Baty as its new CFO.

Ed Woodward, Executive Vice Chairman, is pleased to welcome Baty to the Club. Woodward said:

"He is a proven finance executive who brings a wealth of international business experience, and will be an excellent addition to our senior management team."

Since 2013, Baty has served as CFO and member of the Board of Directors of London-headquartered Sportech plc, a leading pool betting operator and technology supplier. Prior to this he spent several years at Ladbrokes plc in a number of senior finance roles, including FD of its eGaming operations, as well as Ladbrokes businesses in Spain, Italy and South Africa. Before that he was Group Financial Controller of Hilton Group plc.

Baty qualified as a CA with Ernst & Young, where he worked for 10 years.
