Department of Energy's Yvonne Chetty nominated for CFO Awards

Department of Energy CFO Yvonne Chetty has been nominated for the 2017 CFO Awards, following up her nomination in 2016. The annual 'Oscars for South African CFOs', to be held on 11 May, recognise CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions, and awards them for outstanding performance and leadership.

With more than two decades of experience in the financial sector, Chetty has served as as a Senior Manager Finance for the Passenger Rail Agency of SA and a Business Manager at Wits University, before joining the Department of Energy in her current role in December 2010. She is required to provide creative solutions to enhance efficiency in the delivery of services and administration of the department.

The Unisa and Durban University of Technology educated Chetty is also the chairperson of the department's Bid Adjudication Committee.
