Focus on growth and innovation at successful 5th CFO South Africa Event

post-title

“We are not living in the information age anymore, but we have moved into the communication age, where social media and relationships are becoming crucial elements of our daily work.” Those were the words of Aarti Takoordeen, CFO of the JSE Limited, who gave a snappy, thought-provoking presentation during the 5th CFO South Africa event, which took place in the Saxon Boutique Hotel in Johannesburg on Thursday 3 October.

Building social platforms and strengthening relationships amongst top professionals has been one of the key elements during the first year of CFO South Africa's existence. Thursday's event was the biggest, boldest and best event so far, providing network opportunities and a host of parallel breakaway sessions where the country's CFOs and top finance professionals could discuss the challenges and opportunities of the present and future.

Director Melle Eijckelhoff of CFO South Africa hosted two round tables, one facilitated by IT company Oracle and the other one by Transparent, a specialist in accounts payable analysis. Masterclasses were hosted by software firms CSQ Technology Holdings and Readsoft, while dynamic presentations were given by management consulting firm IQ Business and Victor Sekese, the inspiring CEO of SizweNtsalubaGobodo (SNG), the largest black owned accounting firm in the country.
