Ned Segal named new Twitter CFO

post-title

Ned Segal (pictured), who spent 17 years at Goldman Sachs Group, has been named the new chief financial officer of Twitter. The 43-year-old former banker, currently a senior vice president of finance at Intuit Inc., will take over the CFO role from Anthony Noto (who will remain chief operating officer) from September.

Interestingly, Noto and Segal's time at Goldman Sachs overlapped between 2010 and 2014, with Segal having left the investment bank in 2013 for RPX Corp, later joining Intuit in 2015, and Noto leaving the bank in 2014 to join Twitter.

Jack Dorsey, Twitter CEO, said in a statement that Segal's background and experience "are an ideal fit for Twitter as we work to extend our positive momentum, continue growing our audience and achieve greater operating efficiency".
