Prof Wiseman Nkuhlu (pictured), South Africa’s first black chartered accountant, current chancellor of the University of Pretoria and an often-cited inspiration for members of the CFO community, has accepted CFO South Africa’s invitation to join the panel of judges for the 2017 CFO Awards.

Prof Nkuhlu was the guest of honour at the recent 2016 CFO Awards, giving a keynote speech and handing out two lifetime achievement awards. In welcoming Prof Nkuhlu to the stage, Vusi Thembekwayo, master of ceremonies, said that his "impact on the mental space of black Africans has not yet been formally studied and understood".
Graham Fehrsen, CFO South Africa MD, said of Prof Nkuhlu's addition to the judges panel:
"Having Professor Nkuhlu join our panel of judges for 2017 is an honour and will add another very qualified judge to the esteemed panel."
