Umar Banda appointed Tshwane CFO

post-title

Umar Banda, nominated for the 2017 CFO of the Year Awards, has been permanently appointed to the position of City of Tshwane CFO – a role he has filled in an acting capacity since 2014.

At the same time as Banda's appointment was announced, so were six other strategic management positions, including Lorette Tredoux, executive director for governance and intergovernmental relations at the South African Loca Government Association, who has been appointed governance and support officer.

Mayoral spokesman Samkelo Mgobozi said the appointments paved the way for better service delivery. Executive mayor Solly Msimanga seemed to be in agreement, saying that filling the positions was critical to ensuring stability and enhancing service delivery in the organisation.
