Andre du Plessis has been CFO since May 2002. He was also one of the founders of Capitec Bank.

André du Plessis was appointed CFO of Capitec in May 2002. He joined the company in 2000 as a Financial Manager. André has a B.Com and is a qualified CA (SA). He specialised in the areas of business advisory, financial consulting and strategic and financial management. He served as a partner at Arthur Andersen for 10 years from 1986 to 1996. From 1996 to 2000 he was associated with Boland PKS as a Chief Executive, Financial Management. For his work as the CFO of Capitec Bank, du Plessis was nominated for CFO Awards 2014 and again for CFO Awards 2019.
