Christine Ramon

Christine Ramon was chief financial officer of AngloGold Ashanti from 2014 until 2020, when she became CEO.

Christine Ramon, now CEO of AngloGold Ashanti, has held senior financial management and executive positions in various companies, in particular as CFO and executive director of AngloGold Ashanti and Sasol. Prior to this, she was CEO of Johnnic Holdings , having previously served as its financial director. Christine has served on the boards of Transnet and Johnnic Communications. She is currently a non-executive director on the boards of MTN Group and Lafarge (France).

Christine is also a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of South Africa. She served previously as a member of the standing advisory committee to the International Accounting Standards Board and currently serves as deputy chair of the Financial Reporting Standards Council of South Africa. Christine is also the chairperson of the CFO Forum of South Africa.

Christine Ramon was awarded the 2016 Finance & Technology award by CFO South Africa.
