Jannie Serfontein | CEO and CFO | Eqstra Holdings

In 1999, Jannie Serfontein - current CFO and CEO of Eqstra - started his career with Deloitte. He completed his training contract and then proceeded to work for Deloitte in the United States. Later, in 2007, Serfontein became an assurance partner of Deloitte in the Pretoria office.

In 2011, Serfontein joined Eqstra as its CFO. In his CFO role, Serfontein tried to steer clear of making false promises. He said to want to "manage people with integrity and honesty - even if there is no positive news". For his work as the CFO of Eqstra, Serfontein was nominated for the CFO Awards 2014. In July 2015, Serfontein became the CEO of Eqstra.
