Compensation Fund: John-Ross Thando

John-Ross has been the chief financial officer at Compensation Fund since August 2018.

John-Ross Thando has been with Compensation Fund since 2016. He was appointed as project manager upon joining and was promoted to chief operations officer in March 2018. 

After five months of serving as COO, he was promoted to chief financial officer, and is responsible for reporting, investments, cash management and SCM, among others. 

Prior to joining the Compensation Fund, John served as operations and finance manager at Imperial Automotive, assistant manager at Auditor General of SA and financial consultant at Snijder & Associates Accounting Services. He also completed his articles with Snijder & Associates Inc. 

John has an honours degree in accounting sciences, finance and financial management services from UNISA, as well as a B.Com degree in accounting and finance from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.

About Compensation Fund: The Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, No 130 of 1993 (COIDA) provides for compensation for disablement caused by occupational injuries or diseases sustained or contracted by employees in the course of their employment, or for death resulting from such injuries or diseases.
