Gauteng Provincial Government: Thapelo Mashiane

Thapelo Mashiane has been the chief financial officer at the Gauteng Provincial Government since October 2016.

Thapelo Mashiane started her career as a trainee accountant at Auditor-General of South Africa, after receiving her B.Compt Honours and CTA degree in Accounting from UNISA. She then joined Barloworld as a trainee accountant and continued to serve in their various divisions as a management and financial accountant respectively. In 2011 she was a consultant at EY before becoming a finance business partner at Absa for about two years. After that she became the divisional finance manager at Nampak before joining the Gauteng Provincial Government as CFO.
