Tomorrow night, during a spectacular conference and gala event the winners of the 10 award categories will be announced. Which of the 32 nominees succeed Standard Bank's Simon Ridley as CFO of the Year? Who will be the best Young CFO of the Year? Which public sector CFO will be celebrated?

Just like last year's successful inaugural event, the 2015 CFO Awards will be held at the beautiful Summer Place in Johannesburg. It celebrates CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, parastatals and government institutions and awards them for outstanding performance and leadership. With finance bosses of big banks, listed companies and government departments on the list of attendees, the event is proving to be the biggest and best on the annual CFO calendar.

The gala dinner brings together South Africa's top finance professionals. It is an opportunity to celebrate excellence and engage in conversations about the culture, pitfalls and possibilities of continuously exceeding expectations.

The CFO Awards are preceded by six inspirational CFO Master Classes. Designed to demonstrate thought leadership, extend professional networks and help businesses to grow, this event sets the bar for financial leadership on the African continent. Speakers will include Mervyn King, Doyen of Corporate Governance, and the immensely popular 'lifehacker' Martijn Aslander, while the evening is chaired by young business mogul Vusi Thembekwayo.
