Young CFO of the Year 2016: Watch the NAC's Dumisani Dlamini

post-title

With the excitement building ahead of the CFO Awards 2017 later today, we thought we would give you a taste of what is to come with scenes from last year's extravaganza. The annual 'Oscars for South African CFOs' recognise CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions, and awards them for outstanding performance and leadership.

One of last year's most impressive winners, the National Arts Council's Dumisani Dlamini (pictured left, with KPMG public sector lead Edson Magondo) scooped the Young CFO of the Year award and the gong for best public sector CFO in 2016.

He took the entity from a qualified audit with 56 findings to a clean audit, assisted in correcting faulty administrative processes, rewrote and simplified documents, and improved the skills and confidence of his finance team. Dumisani is proudest of his contribution to the operations, which ultimately help South African artists.
