The two parties have agreed that it was in their mutual interest to separate and move on.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced that agreement has been reached that it would be in everyone’s best interest for former acting CFO Ziyanda Nkuta and former COO Naasei Appiah to separate and move on from the company.

Appiah and Nkuta, along with then acting director of cricket Corrie van Zyl‚ were suspended in December 2019 by former CEO Thabang Moroe for alleged dereliction of duty, after CSA failed to pay the players union‚ Saca‚ for the 2018 Mzansi Super League (MSL). Both Appiah and Nkuta were dismissed in August 2020, but challenged their dismissals in the Labour Court.

The new agreement to separate means that the drawn-out legal battle between CSA and the two former employees has formally been concluded. CSA has also announced that its contract with HR services provider People Link has also been terminated through mediation.

“All three matters were settled on amicable terms and the parties have put these matters behind them and will be moving forward to pursue their respective interests‚” CSA said in the statement.
