The former Media24, Pioneer Food and Sea Harvest CFO will serve as an independent non-executive director.
Life Healthcare has appointed long-time CFO and 2016 CFO Awards nominee Cindy Hess as an independent non-executive director to its board. She has also been appointed to the company’s HR and remuneration committees, as well as the audit committee.
Cindy is a qualified CA(SA) and has served as the CFO at Media24, Pioneer Food Group and Sea Harvest Group. She has also held various executive positions at Woolworths and within the Transnet Group.
Cindy is currently a director on the boards of RCL Foods and Truworths International, and recently concluded her term as the deputy chair of the Council of the University of the Western Cape.
The healthcare group has also appointed CA(SA) Caroline Henry as an independent non-executive director. Caroline spent 20 years at Eskom, culminating in leading the treasury function and gaining experience in debt capital markets and risk. She is currently also a director on the board of Sun International and chairman of the Eskom Pension and Provident Fund.
Caroline will also serve on Life Healthcare’s social, ethics and transformation committee, as well as the audit committee.
