Currently the CFO of Coca-Cola’s Bottling Investment Group, Sunil Gupta will take over the role as CCBA CEO in April.
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) has announced the appointment of Sunil Gupta as its new CEO starting 1 April. This comes after CEO Jacques Vermeulen announced that he would be retiring after 28 years with Coca-Cola. Until Sunil takes up the role, CCBA CFO Norton Kingwill will act as CEO.
Sunil has been with the Coca-Cola Group for 25 years. His most recent role was that of CFO for the Coca-Cola Company’s Bottling Investments Group (BIG). Before joining Coca-Cola in 1999, he held roles with Bank of America NT&SA, Casio India and EY International.
According to a statement by the company, Sunil will play a critical role in its continued commitment to “successfully list CCBA as a public company via an initial public offering (IPO) once market conditions become more favourable”.
