Malebo Ratlhagane to become Ironveld’s new group CFO

Speciality metals mine Ironveld has appointed Malebo Ratlhagane as its deputy group CFO.

Ironveld has announced the appointment of Malebo Ratlhagane as its deputy group CFO with immediate effect. This comes after the company’s board decided to establish a more visible financial reporting structure for shareholders going forward.

Brian James, who has been with the company since 2012, has agreed to serve as acting group CFO to support Malebo over the next 12 months as she transitions into the group CFO role.

Malebo joined Ironveld in 2014 as an accountant and was appointed financial manager in 2022. She has been acting as head of finance for all of the mine’s South African entities for the last year.

She is a certified professional accountant and a member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants. She also holds a BTech degree in cost and management accounting from Tshwane University of Technology.
