Neil's appointment is one of a number that are part of Prasa's executive restructuring.
The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa) has announced the appointment of Neil Roesch as the permanent CEO for its cash-strapped bus service company Autopax.
According to a statement by Prasa, Neil will be tasked with turning around the company, which operates Translux and City to City buses.
The appointment is one of a number that are part of an executive restructuring aimed at stabilising the government entity which is currently under administration.
The appointments include:
- Nosipho Damasane as Prasa Rail CEO
- Hishaam Emeran as Prasa Technical CEO
- David Mphelo as group CIO
- Sandile Dlamini as group Company Secretary
- Krishna Govender as Prasa acting CFO

Prasa administrator Bongisizwe Mpondo said the appointments are a strong indication that the agency is “on a new trajectory”.
Prasa is still without a group CEO after Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula withdrew Nkosinathi Sishi from the position in December 2019.
