Nelly Kiogora Toroitich takes on her new role in Johannesburg after serving as finance director at Unilever East Africa.

Nelly Kiogora Toroitich has been appointed as finance director at Mondelēz International, Southern Africa division after serving just over 10 years at Unilever East Africa.

Mondelēz South Africa is the largest confectionery business in the region, with strong market leadership in the chocolate, chewing gum and bubblegum categories.

Nelly steps into the driver’s seat at Mondelēz’s finance division with 18 years of finance leadership experience within the FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) sector.

Nelly, dubbed a finance stalwart in the east Africa region, has established a well-earned reputation for her exemplary business partnering skills in dynamic and multicultural environments.

She holds master’s in business administration from the United States International University (USIU), a BSc in computer science from Egerton University, and is a certified public accountant.
