Nhlanhla Nene appointed director at Allan Gray

post-title

Nhlanhla Nene (pictured), former South African finance minister, has been appointed a non-executive director at investment management firm, Allan Gray.

Nene had been unemployed since his removal in December last year from his position as finance minister. President Zuma said at the time that Nene's removal was due to him being nominated to head up the Brics New Development Bank regional. Nene resigned from Parliament a few days later after his removal from the finance ministry, and has been on leave at his home in KwaZulu-Natal since then.

In a recent interview with news channel eNCA, Nene hinted at a possible private sector job appointment, though he did not give deals on when or where. This most recent announcement, however, confirms Nene's latest move.
