Ramasela Ganda: first black female CEO within Barloworld Group

Ramasela has been appointed as Avis Rent A Car Southern Africa's new CEO.

Barloworld Logistics has announced the appointment of Ramasela Ganda as the new CEO of Avis Rent A Car Southern Africa.

Ramasela will be the first black female CEO within the Barloworld Group

In 2017, she won the Public Sector CFO of the Year Award for her work at Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality. She is also a member of the judging panel for the 2020 CFO Awards. 

In a statement, Barloworld Logistics said that Ramasela is “driven by the passion to serve and contribute to a better South Africa, as is evident in the manner in which she lead the team that obtained consecutive clean audits for Ekurhuleni”. 

She joined Barloworld in 2017 and has held various roles, including CFO of Barloworld Equipment: Rental & Used, and executive head of business services. She has more than 22 years’ experience in the financial industry and is a qualified CA(SA) with a B.Com honours and CTA degree from the University of Pretoria.

Barloworld said that it looks forward to her “contributing immense value in her new role”.
