Rowland Wallenius (pictured) has joined the senior management team of Vancouver-based, JSE-listed Eastern Platinum Limited (Eastplats) as chief financial officer and corporate secretary. Wallenius takes over from interim CFO, David Li.
CEO Diana Hu said of Wallenius' appointment:
"We are very pleased to have someone with Rowland's skills and range of experience joining us as a full-time member of our team and look forward to working with him as we move forward with our business plans."
Wallenius' career spans more than 20 years. A Certified Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), he has held various roles in private accounting and audit practice, as well as senior management positions with or consulting to several public mining and industrial companies. From 2007 to 2014 he was CFO of the El Boleo copper project in Mexico. Prior to that he acted in a variety of accounting and finance roles with Augusta Resources Corp., Sargold Resources Corporation and other public issuers.
