SAA has suspended two execs: ex-CEO Musa Zwane and CFO Phumeza Nhantsi.
According to SAA spokesman Tlali Tlali, the state-owned airline has suspended two executives following unspecified allegations made against them in a forensic probe. The execs are CFO Phumeza Nhantsi and acting chief technical officer Musa Zwane, who was acting CEO for two years until November 2017, at which point Vuyani Jarana (pictured) took over.
Tlali says the two have been placed on leave pending a disciplinary hearing, and that both executives are presumed innocent until proven otherwise.
SAA has appointed Nona Sonjani as acting CFO and Wellington Nyuswa as acting CEO of SAA Technical.
