SAA faces more trouble as board chairperson resigns

Johannes Magwaza's resignation, for personal reasons, comes shortly after the resignation of SAA's CEO.

On Thursday 11 July Minister of Public Enterprises Pravin Gordhan announced the resignation of SAA board chairperson Johannes Magwaza in his budget vote speech. 

“We would like to thank the outgoing chairperson of the SAA Board, Mr JB Magwaza. Your contribution is appreciated,” Gordhan said.

Magwaza’s resignation comes only two months after CEO Vuyani Jarana’s resignation.
