SAP Concur and the Get Smart summit: a perfect partnership

post-title

Angelique Montalto explains how Get Smart event partner SAP Concur adapted to change and grew.

Founded in 1993 and acquired by SAP in 2014, SAP Concur provides truly connected spend management.

The SAP Concur platform is designed to make employee spend simple, compliant and transparent, and it’s the power of the platform that sets them and their customers apart.

SAP Concur provides the technology platform to manage all corporate travel and expense data in one place. This includes bringing processes and cost efficiencies to the table, ensuring effective governance, risk and compliance management, and making spend data more visible and transparent. All of these elements translate into hard bottom-line savings.

“From a cloud perspective, what we do is exceptionally exciting,” says SAP Concur regional sales director for Africa Angelique Montalto.

By automating the expense management process, and eliminating the errors, paper and procedures that go with it, SAP Concur has freed up employees and given customers more control over compliance costs. Users can quickly take a picture of receipts and submit expense claims from any mobile device to keep productivity on track.

Angelique accredits SAP Concur’s growth to the fact that they deliver ROI:

“The projects we run are mostly self-funding – a recent report claims that the average SAP Concur project has a three-year ROI of 650 percent and a five-month pay-back period. By the time customers go live with SAP Concur there are already significant and immediate savings on the table. This business value of SAP Concur has enabled us to grow by over 100 percent year on year and we are aiming for an additional 50 percent growth across Africa for 2019.”

SAP Concur is the partner for the CFO South Africa hosted Get Smart event on 21 February at Summer Place in Hyde Park, Johannesburg. Get Smart will be unpacking the fundamental business question of 2019: How do we stay relevant and adapt to change, new information and knowledge?

Top CFOs and HR executives will be discussing how they deal with change and what approaches will mean the difference between success and failure.

Kicking off the CFO Summit season, the event will feature The OMG CEO Mqondisi Gumede’s famous “Thinking BIG can take you places” speech, followed by several breakaway.

The first session will be hosted by EOH Holdings Group FD Megan Pydigadu, who will be talking about how you can build a better business through collaboration.

The second session, hosted by Peregrine Holdings CEO Rob Katz, will take a look at how “In this day and age, if you are not working in a team... you are dead."

TransUnion CEO Lee Naik will be hosting the third session, followed by concluding remarks with Henley Business School Dean Jon Foster-Pedley.

“For SAP Concur, as a business that’s grown exponentially itself, and delivered significant process improvements for its customers, a partnership with CFO South Africa at the Get Smart summit was just the right fit,” says John Deane, CFO South Africa community manager. “We’re looking forward to hosting CFOs and CHROs to the event and having them share their journeys through growth and change.”
