Senele Mbatha new AIG Africa CFO

American International Group Inc (AIG), a leading global insurance organisation, has promoted Senele Mbatha to the role of chief financial officer.

Mbatha, a chartered accountant, has held several senior positions at AIG, the most recent of which was that of regulatory controller for Africa, which saw him looking after the full finance function of South Africa, Kenya and Uganda. Before joining AIG, Mbatha was a senior manager at Ernst & Young.

Mbatha has experience in various industries and has worked on projects in several countries across Africa and Europe.
