Shoprite CFO Marius Bosman retires, Anton de Bruyn takes over

Marius Bosman, Shoprite Holdings CFO, has announced he will be retiring at the beginning of July. 

Longtime Shoprite Holdings CFO, Marius Bosman (pictured), will be retiring from his role at the start of July 2018. Bosman has been with the retailer for 25 years, and despite officially retiring, will be staying on as a consultant.

Shoprite said in a statement:

"He [Bosman] will remain involved as a consultant to Shoprite Holdings inter alia to assist in the completion of the financial statements. As such, Mr Bosman will remain involved in the preparation and completion of the financial accounts for the year-end to June 2018."

Anton de Bruyn, a qualified CA, will be taking over the role for the coming three months, and will be appointed as as executive director on 2July. De Bruyn has been a Shoprite employee for 15 years and was most recently the group's deputy General Manager Group Finance.
