Tadeu Marroco was appointed finance director of British American Tobacco (BAT)  in August 2019, having just been appointed as deputy finance director in March of the same year. In February 2021, his role and title changed to finance and transformation director. Prior to this he was also director, group transformation. He worked with chief executive Jack Bowles to further simplify the structure and processes so that BAT could accelerate transformation.

Tadeu joined BAT in 1992 and he has held a range of finance positions including regional director, Europe and North Africa, director of global business development, and group financial controller.

He has an MBA from COPPEAD UFRJ.
