Mikateko Tshetshe and other finance professionals share how their roles evolved during Covid-19.

On 31 March, starting 5:30pm, the Finance Indaba Online will be hosting an Impact Session that looks into the role finance plays in supporting the CEO and business during times of crisis.

The role of the CFO has changed significantly from simply being head beancounter to being a strategic business partner to the business and the CEO. In 2020, this was especially true as CFOs were forced to step beyond their traditional roles to help their CEOs navigate the Covid-19 crisis. In this Impact Session, Investec group FD Nishlan Samujh, Unilever VP of finance Mikateko Tshetshe and King Price Insurance deputy CEO Rhett Finch will share how their roles changed during the crisis, and how finance will continue to shape the business of the future.

The Finance Indaba, Africa’s biggest and best finance event, was reinvented in 2020 as the Finance Indaba Network, and is now a community platform for finance professionals to interact and engage with the whole year round. The innovative virtual conference and expo, Finance Indaba Online, will bring together more than 5,000 finance professionals who want to accelerate their knowledge, network and career.
