post-title

Nichola Dewar has been nominated for a CFO Award for her sterling work as the CFO of Postbank at the South African Post Office, where she has since taken over the reigns as CFO. The annual 'Oscars for South African CFOs', to be held on 11 May, recognises CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions and awards them for outstanding performance and leadership.

Before joining Postbank in December 2009, Nichola worked at Deloitte & Touche, managing the Financial Institutions team and assumed finance management positions at the likes of KPMG, Barclays and Microsoft. She has a Master's degree in commerce from the University of Cape Town.

'Nicky' was also nominated for the inaugural CFO Awards in 2014. One of her biggest accomplishments was managing to convince the Treasury to make funds available to get the Post Bank off the ground. She has been instrumental in the continuing turn-around of the Post Office.

About her nomination she said:

"It is a great feeling to have my work recognised in this way. There is definitely value in events like the CFO Awards motivating financial executives."
