Rivasha Maharaj joins Omnia from AGH, where she served as CFO for three years.
Former Afgri Group Holdings (AGH) CFO Rivasha Maharaj has been appointed as the new AGRI: FD at Omnia, where she will be responsible for the fertiliser business within the larger company. Her portfolio will include operations across South Africa, SADC, Brazil and Australia.
About her appointment, Rivasha said:
“I am very excited and really happy. I have been here [Omnia] for a week and a half now and it feels like home already.”
After completing her articles of clerkship, Rivasha joined Meadow Feeds in June 2004 as a management accountant. Thereafter she fulfilled various senior finance positions at Nampak and Tega Industries. During 2016 she was appointed as financial director at DivFood, a Division of Nampak.
She joined AGH in May 2017 as CFO looking after grain management, equipment, retail, unigro and harvest time. These companies operate in South Africa and African countries. In February 2018 she was appointed as group CFO at AGH.
For her work as the CFO of Afgri, Rivasha was nominated for the 2020 CFO Awards.
