SA startups crack FinTech 100 list

South African-based mobile payment providers FinTechs Zoona and Wealth Migrate have placed in KPMG and H2 Ventures’s FinTech 100 for 2016 list of the most influential startups in the space.

Zoona provides technology, capital, and business support to emerging entrepreneurs in Africa, enabling them to start their own businesses as Zoona agents.Wealth Migrate is a global real-estate investment marketplace giving investors direct access to exclusive real-estate investment opportunities in premier markets around the world.

Mike Quinn, Zoona CEO, said:

The annual FinTech 100 report gives an in-depth look into those global companies that are taking advantage of technology and driving disruption within the financial services industry. It includes the leading 50 established FinTech companies across the globe and 50 Emerging Stars - bold new FinTech companies with potentially game-changing ideas.

The FinTech 100 2016 list included 29 companies from the Middle East-Africa region. Some 35 on the list were drawn from the Americas.
