Sasfin appoints Wiphold group CFO Nontobeko Ndhlazi to board of directors

Nontobeko has been appointed as a non-executive director to the Sasfin board as of 19 August.

Sasfin has appointed Wiphold group CFO Nontobeko Ndhlazi as a non-executive director to its board as of 19 August. 

Nontobeko has been the group CFO of Wiphold since 2011. Before joining the company, she was a director in Deloitte’s financial management consulting division. She holds a B.Com and a post graduate diploma in accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. 

According to a statement by Sasfin, Nontobeko brings significant financial expertise to the boards, including reporting, budgeting, cash management, tax management, risk management and strategic planning. 

The bank has also appointed Deon de Kock, who recently retired from his position as chair of Mercantile Bank, as an independent non-executive director. 

Deon completed the Stanford Executive Programme in California and has held several executive management roles during his career, including CEO of Woolworths Financial Services.
