South African appointed as Wonderfilm Media Corporation CFO in Canada

The Vancouver-based media company has appointed Christine Harris as its new CFO with effect from 1 November.

Vancouver-based Wonderfilm Media Corporation has appointed Christine Harris as its new CFO with effect from 1 November 2019. 

Christine will be replacing Alan Tam, who will be assisting with the transition to the new CFO. In the interim, Norm Tsui, who is currently a director on the company’s board, will be stepping in as interim CFO until Christine takes up the position. 

Christine is a qualified chartered accountant from South Africa with over 18 years’ experience in corporate transactions, public markets and in-depth accounting and auditing. 

Before joining Wonderfilm Media Corporation, Christine served as the CFO of Vancouver-based Wind Sun Sky Entertainment. From 2013 to 2018 Christine served as director of finance, as well as VP finance and CFO at Canada-based WOW Unlimited Media. Before this, Christine was a senior manager at Deloitte LLP in Vancouver. She started her career in London, where she was a manager of corporate finance at Deloitte. 

Christine studied at the University of Cape Town, where she received a bachelor in business science and a post-graduate diploma in accounts.
