CFO South Africa welcomes Standard Bank CIB's head, Global Client Coverage to the awards panel.

The CFO Awards, which will take place next year on 15 May, has yet another high-calibre industry professional on its judging panel, in the form of Luvuyo Masinda, head of Global Client Coverage at Standard Bank CIB.

Standard Bank is a long-standing partner of CFO South Africa, and Luvuyo’s presence on the panel is yet another example of synergy between the two brands.

Luvuyo says that he will be looking for three things to determine excellence among the CFOs the panel will be judging:

“The most important is strong, ethical leadership. They also need to have the ability to be seen as a strong business partner, and to think beyond just finance and more in terms of the real commercial aspects of their business.”

He says that having been a CFO for some time, and having recently changed roles, he appreciates the importance of CFO partnerships, realised through events like the CFO Awards.

“It reaffirms the role of the CFO,” he says.
