The Top 6 teams of the global edition of The CFO Case Study Competition 2017 have been selected. Some 2,300 entries were received this year, including both the CFO Case Study and the Junior National version for South African High Schools.
Valentine Nti (pictured), the Project Founding Director, said:
"We cannot wait to host the National and Global finals of CFO 2017 in October. Join us to welcome the world to South Africa, and take South Africa to the world; let's benchmark and celebrate fit-for-purpose education; let's re-imagine, innovate and change education.''
The global geographical representation of this year's Top 6 is evidence of the international and growing stature of The CFO brand, as teams from Asia, Europe and Africa will be going head-to-head at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) this October, battling for the right to claim the ultimate award: "The CharterQuest Future CFOs & Global Business Leaders 2017", as well as scoop the R100,000 in prize money (R50,000 for The CFO Junior National version).
Stage 2 of both competitions is now underway, and the teams are compiling their 75-second video, as well as crafting the ultimate millennial social media and viral marketing strategy, which will determine who can best execute public engagement and secure the highest number of public votes (scoring two extra credit points) when their videos begin airing on TV and social media from 1 August 2017. The teams will be hosted on an all-expenses-paid trip to Johannesburg, South Africa to present before an audience and an international panel of judges for stage 3 (semi-finals) and 4 (grand finale) of the competition. This exciting event will be part of the Finance Indaba Africa 2017 Expo.
