Unicorn Capital Partners appoints Catherine Wolmarans as acting CFO

Catherine's appointment follows the resignation of executive FD Johann Lemmer.

Unicorn Capital Partners has announced the appointment of Catherine Wolmarans as acting CFO with effect from 30 June. Her appointment follows the resignation of executive FD Johann Lemmer to pursue an international career. 

Prior to the appointment, Catherine served as group treasurer of Sentula Mining. She started her career as an article clerk at EY in 1989 and was appointed as an internal auditor at Liberty Life in 1993. In 1995 she briefly served as a supervisor at Deloitte before joining Investec Bank in 1996 as a divisional management accountant. She was later appointed as a group management accountant.

In a statement, the investment company thanked Johann for his dedication to the company and wished him well in his future endeavours.

Johann was appointed as FD in May 2014. He has extensive finance and business experience including advisory and business administration in the finance and mining sectors. He has fulfilled the roles of an audit partner at BDO and group financial director of Georearch.
