Vodacom CFO Till Streichert has been nominated for the 2017 CFO Awards for his executive role in ensuring ongoing success at the telecoms behemoth. The annual 'Oscars for South African CFOs', to be held on 11 May, recognise CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions, and awards them for outstanding performance and leadership.

Till took the reins as CFO of Vodacom Group in August 2015, after serving as the Executive Director of Finance for Vodacom SA from February 2014. He had been the CFO of Vodafone Romania and held a number of senior positions in that country. Till started out working for the CEO of T-Mobile Germany and moved on to senior roles at T-Mobile UK, in addition to working as a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. He holds a doctoral degree from the Hanover College.
Vodacom provides a wide range of communication services, including mobile voice, messaging, data and converged services, to over 61 million customers in SA, Tanzania, the DRC, Mozambique and Lesotho. Its mobile networks cover a total population of approximately 200 million people.
