Absa executive shake-up sees Jason Quinn take back FD role

Absa’s recent CEO appointment sees Jason Quinn step back into FD role, and Punki Modise move to RBB division.

Absa has announced that Jason Quinn, who is currently serving as interim group CEO, will resume his role as FD of Absa Group and Absa Bank, with immediate effect.

This follows the appointment of the group’s retail and business banking (RBB) division CEO Arrie Rautenbach, as the group’s new CEO.

Jason has previously held the group FD role from August 2016 to April 2021, when he was appointed as interim CEO. He won the 2020 CFO of the Year Award for his work in this role.

Punki Modise, who has been serving as interim FD since April 2021, will relinquish the role and take up the position of interim CEO of Absa RBB.
