Microsoft technology partner Altron Karabina announced a new partnership with cloud-based enterprise performance management (EPM) provider Host Analytics on Wednesday. The partnership means that Altron Karabina will become the first EPM reseller in South Africa.

According to the terms of the agreement, Altron Karabina will licence, train and support Host Analytics solutions in the South African market, the company said in a statement.

Host Analytics and Altron Karabina will provide CFOs with seamless financial planning and close, consolidation, forecasting, reporting, analytics, and reporting. Basic financial reporting typically consumes significant resources. However, Host Analytics will change this by introducing automation, easing collaboration, and giving finance more insights to extract maximum value from their data.

Paul Morgan (pictured), Altron Karabina’s business unit leader of data, planning and analytics, said Host Analytics is a leading provider of connected financial planning and close solutions. And because of this, Host Analytics will give finance teams and CFOs the foundation to transform their planning, consolidation, modelling, reporting, and analytical processes.

“This all aligns closely with our own vision of offering our customers an integrated approach using Microsoft technologies."

Host Analytics’ platform has been named a leader in two Gartner reports for two consecutive years: the Magic Quadrant for Cloud Financial Close Solutions and the Magic Quadrant for Cloud Financial Planning and Analysis Solutions. The company was also named this year by Nucleus Research to the “Leaders” quadrant of its CPM Technology Value Matrix.

John Head, the vice president of enterprise sales and global channels, at Host Analytics said:

“We are excited to expand our relationship with Altron Karabina to help customers in the fast-growing South African market. They are experts at transforming companies into modern finance organisations and by using the Host Analytics platform, our joint customers will be able to capitalise on more growth opportunities.”

According to the statement, Host Analytics’ results-driven approach reflects how Altron Karabina works with their own customers by “going beyond just software to offer services and solutions that deliver proven business return”.

“Host Analytics will provide further impetus for growth as organisations look to migrate their mission-critical EPM solutions to the cloud. And its ease of integration and connectivity will let customers access and manage all their financial data and processes within a single application,” said Altron Karabina’s Paul.

With the arrival of Microsoft Azure in South Africa, the cloud-based approach of Host Analytics will provide further impetus for growth as organisations look to migrate their mission-critical EPM solutions to an online environment.
