Andrey Maruta has been appointed as the new CFO of Kore Potash

Andrey's appointment will "help the company move through the next stages of growth".

Potash development company Kore Potash has announced the appointment of Andrey Maruta as its new CFO with effect from 23 September. 

According to a statement released by the company on 30 August, Andrey will report directly to CEO Brad Sampson and is not joining the company’s board. 

He will be taking over from the current CFO John Crews, who is stepping down for personal reasons but will remain available into November to facilitate a smooth transition. 

In the statement, Brad said:

“The company is in a strong position to realise its potential in developing the world-class Sintoukola Potash basin and Andrey’s experience in the sector will prove of great benefit to Kore as we move through the next stages of growth towards financing and production.” 

Brad also thanked John for his contribution to the company over the past two years. 

Andrey, a fellow chartered and certified accountant, has over 16 years’ experience in the mining industry, including as CFO at Petropavlovsk, which has a premium listing on the London Stock Exchange. He has also worked in the audit function at accountancy firm Moore Stephens International in both the UK and the Russian Federation.
