Anglo American group financial controller Craig Miller is the new Amplats FD

Craig Miller will take over from Ian Botha as financial director of Anglo American Platinum.

Anglo American Platinum (Amplats) financial director Ian Botha first tendered his resignation in September 2018. He remained in his role as FD until the 2018 annual results were released on 18 February 2019, when his resignation came into effect. 

Ian will be replaced by Craig Miller, who will join Amplats from 1 April from Anglo American where is currently group financial controller. 

Craig has more than 18 years' experience in various senior finance roles, including CFO and commercial head of Anglo American’s Iron Ore Brazil business. 

Amplats financial controller Simon Kruger will serve as acting FD in the interim period from 1 March to 31 March.

Ian will be relocating abroad to pursue other career opportunities at RHI Magnesita

Ian joined Amplats in 2015 as finance director to lead the finance, strategy and business development functions. 

Amplats CEO Chris Griffith said:

He has made an immense contribution, and played an instrumental part in repositioning the business during a period of continued economic uncertainty. We wish him well with his future endeavours.”
