Balraj Dev appointed as CFO for BNP Paribas Personal Finance South Africa

Balraj takes over as CFO from Marine van Brakel, who has been appointed as the company’s COO.

BNP Paribas Personal Finance South Africa has announced the appointment of Balraj Dev as its new CFO and deputy CEO with effect from 1 May.

Balraj, who has been serving as the chief risk officer at BNP Paribas for almost five years, will be taking over from Marine van Brakel as CFO.

Marine has been appointed as the COO of the company. “Her knowledge of the business will be a key asset as she leads various different operating areas in the business,” the company said in a statement.

During his time as chief risk officer, Balraj has successfully integrated the risk function into the BNP Paribas group while establishing a solid governance risk function in all the relevant board sub-committees. He has over 25 years’ experience within the banking and financial industry.
