Basil Read appoints new CFO

Pieter van Buuren has been appointed CFO of construction firm Basil Read

Following the resignation on 31 December 2017 of Talib Sadik as finance director, construction company Basil Read has appointed Pieter van Buuren as its new chief financial officer. Van Buuren’s appointment took effect on 1 January 2018.

In a notice issued to shareholders, the firm said:

"Mr Van Buuren brings 23 years of financial leadership experience, having previously been the chief financial officer for New York Timber Holdings Limited, project finance manager for Murray & Roberts Projects and general manager: finance for Bell Equipment Company."
