post-title

Global engineering, procurement and construction leader Black & Veatch recently opened a South African subsidiary, Black & Veatch South Africa, a welcome extension of this 100-year-old company.

The move supports the company's commitment to providing infrastructure solutions to sub-Saharan Africa. According to CFO Karen Daniel, the various development programmes across sub-Saharan align with the company's existing strengths, and are an important factor in ensuring the company's continued global growth. She added that the formation of alocally based, employee-owned entity would allow the company to build on a more than 50-year presence in the region.

Karen Daniel, CFO, said:

"Infrastructure is critical to empowering the people of Africa and fostering new levels of prosperity and growth in the region. Our 10,000 global professionals will work with our local clients to bring world-class power, oil and gas, water and communications solutions to the region. Together we will strive to change the way that sub-Saharan African communities live, work and prosper for decades to come."
