Bongiwe Ntuli to join TFG as CFO

Bongiwe Ntuli will be taking over from Anthony Thunstrom as CFO of TFG from 3 September.

TFG announced the appointment of Bongiwe Ntuli as the new CFO, which will come into effect when Anthony Thünstrom takes the reins as CEO in September. Anthony will be taking over the CFO role from Doug Murray.

Bongiwe will be leaving Grindrod Freight Services to take up her new role. She will also become an executive director of the group with effect from 14 January 2019. 

According to a statement released by TFG: “The appointment follows an extensive internal and external executive search.” 

Bongiwe is a qualified chartered accountant and completed the advanced management programme at Harvard Business School in the United States. She has worked in the freight and logistics, mining and financial services sectors, in New York, Canada, the United Kingdom and South Africa. 

She will be serving as the CEO of Grindrod Freight Services until her new appointment. Prior to this, she has been an executive director of the broader Grindrod group for four years. She has also served on a number of boards in a non-executive capacity, including Adapt IT

TFG chair, Michael Lewis, said:
