Cell C CFO Tyrone Soondarjee to retire

Tyrone Soondarjee will be retiring as the CFO of Cell C at the end of this month.

Tyrone Soondarjee announced his retirement from the position of CFO at Cell C with effect from 31 May this year, less than a year after joining the group. He has cited “personal circumstances” and will be joining his family business on a full-time basis.

Tyrone joined Cell C on 1 July 2017, shortly after his retirement from Sasfin Group, where he served as Financial Director for 10 years. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. 

He will be handing his position back to former Cell C CFO, Robert Pasley, who will only be responsible for the funding and financial aspects of the role. Responsibilities for the financial operations of the business will temporarily belong to the COO Douglas Craigie Stevenson
