CFO Philip Timberlake announced his departure from Liberty and Standard Bank to pursue his financial consulting venture, Jakal.org.

In a heartfelt post reminiscing on his 15 years in the financial space, CFO Philip Timberlake announced his departure from Liberty and Standard Bank to pursue his financial consulting venture, Jakal.org.

“I bid a sad farewell to my colleagues and friends established over 15 years with Liberty and Standard Bank and the many partner finance service organisations,” he said.

Philip also shared how his journey from an articled clerk to a CFO had an impact on his development.

“I carry with me the fruits of those friendships, and the learnings from courageous managers and inspirational leaders,” he shared.

In the post, he talks about reaching a new season in his life and that in his new capacity as director of Jakal.org, he will serve markets across the UK and Africa.

“I’m grateful to be stepping onto a path of working with business leaders looking to optimise commercial outcomes, manage financial risk and improve governance,” he remarked.
